Hi Jessica and Kate! Thanks for having me back on I Just Wanna Sit Here and Read!

As a writer, I need my soundtrack music to write. Every book I write has their own unique playlist. And today I thought I’d share some of the songs on Hollywood Ever After’s playlist* with you.

A little set-up: Claire’s hasn’t been on vacation, by herself, in years. When she goes, she’s expecting a R&R and not much else. But the first night there she goes to a red-carpet premier with her best friend and she meets Josh.




A singer that both my hero, Josh, and heroine, Claire, love is Nora Jones. Here’s one of their favorites:




Josh plays guitar and this song, Jesse Cook’s ‘Virtue’ stirred something sexy and ‘deep’.




There’s more to Hollywood Ever After than Josh and Claire. Claire’s children were such fun to write and so integral to the plot that these two songs kind of became their themes:
